Victoria is a senior lecturer in the Department of Soil Science, University of Calabar, Nigeria. My past research has focused mainly on isolating and identifying soil microorganisms (bacteria, actinomycetes and fungi) in contaminated soil ecosystem. With the objective of understanding and appreciating their crucial role and contributions to soil ecosystem remediation, productivity and sustainability. My research work has examined the effects of ecological disturbance by human activities on soil microbial population and diversity. Specifically, I have been trying to proffer answers to the following research questions:
